Happy St George’s Day!
April 23rd is St George’s Day in England– or Sant Jordi’s day in Catalonia. Amazingly, several countries claim this day, from Georgia to Bulgaria, Greece to Bosnia, Portugal to Cyprus.
Traditionally, St George’s Day is celebrated with red roses and commemorated with stories about slaying dragons. Here on Cheap Weekend Breaks, however, we’re going to round up some of the best ways to explore both England and Catalonia.
So, buy a red rose, slay a dragon and enjoy St George’s Day!
