Travel the World in A Weekend…
…through the web of course.
For me, nothing beats the thrill of travelling somewhere myself but there’s still pleasure to be had in reading about other people’s trips or gathering more and more information in the name of ‘research.’ (Why does daydreaming always get such a bad name…)
I’ve been travelling around the web over the past week, with the Top Five Weekend Breaks in England over at Isabelle’s Travel Guide and reliving the hardship of my day in the Aire de Sevilla spa for Spain Scoop.
Back home at Cheap Weekend Breaks, we try to give you an overview of a destination , plus a splash of inspiration so that you can plan your next weekend away. Sometimes, however, just sometimes you may want to delve deeper – even if you are just travelling for 48 hours.
So I’m going to pick out one of my favourite in-depth blogs about Paris: FrancoFiles from Sarah Towle.
FrancoFiles delves so deep into the history and current affairs of the City of Lights that it ends up underground in the Catacombs. Maybe not what you want for a romantic weekend away, but if you’re longing to find out more about la vie Parisienne then FrancoFiles is for you.
On the other hand, if you’re dreaming of quitting your job and travelling around the world then try Christine Gilbert’s Almost Fearless.
Happy reading and happy travelling around the world this weekend.
